What is cvc4
cvc4 is:
CVC4 is an efficient automatic theorem prover for satisfiability modulo theories (SMT) problems. It can be used to prove the validity (or, dually, the satisfiability) of first-order formulas in a large number of built-in logical theories and their combination.
CVC4 is intended to be an open and extensible SMT engine, and it can be used as a stand-alone tool or as a library. It is the fourth in the Cooperating Validity Checker family of tools (also including CVC, CVC Lite and CVC3). CVC4 has been designed to increase the performance and reduce the memory overhead of its predecessors.
This package contains binaries needed to use CVC4 as a stand-alone tool.
There are three methods to install cvc4
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install cvc4 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install cvc4
using apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install cvc4

Install cvc4 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude

sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install cvc4
using aptitude

sudo aptitude -y install cvc4
How To Uninstall cvc4 on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the cvc4
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove cvc4
Uninstall cvc4 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall cvc4
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove cvc4
Remove cvc4 Configurations and Data
To remove cvc4
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge cvc4
Remove cvc4 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove cvc4
