This is useful to control batch jobs, when you don’t want them to eat too much CPU. It does not act on the nice value or other priority stuff, but on the real CPU usage. Besides it is able to adapt itself to the overall system load, dynamically and quickly.

There are three methods to install cpulimit on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install cpulimit Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install cpulimit using apt-get by running the following command:
