What is corosync-qdevice

corosync-qdevice is:

corosync-qdevice is a daemon running on each node of a cluster. It provides a configured number of votes to the quorum subsystem based on a third-party arbitrator’s decision. Its primary use is to allow a cluster to sustain more node failures than standard quorum rules allow. It is recommended for clusters with an even number of nodes and highly recommended for 2 node clusters.

There are three methods to install corosync-qdevice on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install corosync-qdevice Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install corosync-qdevice using apt-get by running the following command:
