How To Install clfft-client on Ubuntu 22.04

What is clfft-client
clfft-client is:
The clFFT library is an open source OpenCL library implementation of discrete Fast Fourier Transforms, which:
- Provides a fast and accurate platform for calculating discrete FFTs.
- Works on CPU or GPU backends.
- Supports in-place or out-of-place transforms.
- Supports 1D, 2D, and 3D transforms with a batch size that can be greater than 1.
- Supports planar (real and complex components in separate arrays) and interleaved (real and complex components as a pair contiguous in memory) formats.
- Supports dimension lengths that can be any mix of powers of 2, 3, and 5.
- Supports single and double precision floating point formats.
This package provides the client program.
There are three methods to install clfft-client on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install clfft-client Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install clfft-client using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install clfft-client

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install clfft-client using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install clfft-client
Install clfft-client Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install clfft-client using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install clfft-client
How To Uninstall clfft-client on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the clfft-client package we can use the following command:

Remove clfft-client Configurations and Data
To remove clfft-client configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge clfft-client
