How To Install avahi-utils on Ubuntu 22.04

What is avahi-utils
avahi-utils is:
Avahi is a fully LGPL framework for Multicast DNS Service Discovery. It allows programs to publish and discover services and hosts running on a local network with no specific configuration. For example you can plug into a network and instantly find printers to print to, files to look at and people to talk to.
This package contains several utilities that allow you to interact with the Avahi daemon, including publish, browsing and discovering services.
There are three methods to install avahi-utils on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install avahi-utils Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install avahi-utils using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install avahi-utils

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install avahi-utils using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install avahi-utils
Install avahi-utils Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install avahi-utils using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install avahi-utils
How To Uninstall avahi-utils on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the avahi-utils package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove avahi-utils
Uninstall avahi-utils And Its Dependencies
To uninstall avahi-utils and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove avahi-utils
Remove avahi-utils Configurations and Data
To remove avahi-utils configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge avahi-utils
Remove avahi-utils configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove avahi-utils configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
