How To Install labgrid on Ubuntu 22.04

on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is labgrid
labgrid is:
Labgrid is an embedded board control Python library with a focus on testing, development and general automation.
The idea behind labgrid is to create an abstraction of the hardware control layer needed for testing of embedded systems, automatic software installation and automation during development. Labgrid itself is not a testing framework, but is intended to be combined with pytest (and additional pytest plugins).
This package includes labgrid-suggest and labgrid-bound-connect executables. Most of the upstream executables are excluded from the package because they depend on a newer python3-autobahn version than the one in Debian.
There are three methods to install labgrid
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install labgrid Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install labgrid
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install labgrid

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install labgrid
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install labgrid
Install labgrid Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install labgrid
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install labgrid
How To Uninstall labgrid on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the labgrid
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove labgrid
Uninstall labgrid And Its Dependencies
To uninstall labgrid
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove labgrid
Remove labgrid Configurations and Data
To remove labgrid
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge labgrid
Remove labgrid configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove labgrid
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
