How To Install jetring on Ubuntu 22.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install jetring on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is jetring
jetring is:
jetring is a collection of tools that allow for gpg keyrings to be maintained using changesets. It was developed with the Debian keyring in mind, and aims to solve the problem that a gpg keyring is a binary blob that’s hard for multiple people to collaboratively edit.
With jetring, changesets can be submitted, reviewed to see exactly what they will do, applied, and used to build a keyring. The origin of every change made to the keyring is available for auditing, and gpg signatures can be used to further secure things.
There are three methods to install jetring on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install jetring Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install jetring using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install jetring
Install jetring Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install jetring using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install jetring
Install jetring Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install jetring using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install jetring
How To Uninstall jetring on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the jetring package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove jetring
Uninstall jetring And Its Dependencies
To uninstall jetring and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove jetring
Remove jetring Configurations and Data
To remove jetring configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge jetring
Remove jetring configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove jetring configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge jetring
