How To Install debram on Ubuntu 22.04
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install debram on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is debram
debram is:
Debian GNU/Linux provides thousands upon daunting thousands of commands. Sorting them into broad classes then dividing and redividing them into finer, more specific branches, the Debram ramifies Debian’s commands in much the same manner as a university library ramifies its books. If you know what you want your computer to do but do not yet know the command to do it, you can find the command here.
(The Debram package used also – indeed mainly – to include a much larger and more important ramification of Debian packages, along with a browsing tool; but Debtags has superseded Debram in those respects. What the Debram package still includes however is the Command Selection Guide, which though somewhat outdated may still be of use.)
There are three methods to install debram on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install debram Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install debram using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install debram
Install debram Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install debram using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install debram
Install debram Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install debram using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install debram
How To Uninstall debram on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the debram package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove debram
Uninstall debram And Its Dependencies
To uninstall debram and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove debram
Remove debram Configurations and Data
To remove debram configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge debram
Remove debram configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove debram configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge debram
