What is cpipe

cpipe is:

Cpipe copies its standard input to its standard output while measuring the time it takes to read an input buffer and write an output buffer. Statistics of average throughput and the total amount of bytes copied are printed to the standard error output.

Cpipe can also be used as alternative to the buffer utility for simple usecases.

There are three methods to install cpipe on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install cpipe Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update
