What is qsynth

qsynth is:

QSynth is a fluidsynth GUI front-end application written in C++ around the Qt toolkit. Eventually it may evolve into a softsynth management application allowing the user to control and manage a variety of command line softsynths but for the moment it wraps FluidSynth (http://www.fluidsynth.org).

FluidSynth is a command line software synthesiser based on the Soundfont specification.

There are three methods to install qsynth on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install qsynth Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install qsynth using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install qsynth
