How To Install paulstretch on Ubuntu 22.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install paulstretch on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is paulstretch
paulstretch is:
This is a program for stretching the audio. It is suitable only for extreme sound stretching of the audio (like 50x) and for applying special effects by “spectral smoothing” the sounds. It can transform any sound/music to a texture.
It produces high quality extreme sound stretching. While most sound stretching software sounds bad when trying to stretch the sounds a lot, this one is optimized for extreme sound stretching.
The stretch amount is unlimited. You can play the stretched sound in real-time (including the possibility to “freeze” the sound) or you can render the whole sound or a part of it to audio files.
It has many post-processing effects, like: filters, pitch/frequency shifters Support for WAV, OGG VORBIS files and MP3 files.
There are three methods to install paulstretch on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install paulstretch Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install paulstretch using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install paulstretch

To uninstall only the paulstretch package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove paulstretch
Uninstall paulstretch And Its Dependencies
To uninstall paulstretch and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove paulstretch
Remove paulstretch Configurations and Data
To remove paulstretch configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge paulstretch
Remove paulstretch configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
