How To Install parchive on Ubuntu 22.04

What is parchive
parchive is:
This utility applies the data-recovery capability concepts of RAID-like systems to the posting and downloading of multi-part archives on USENET by providing the ability to create and use redundant recovery records. It supports the ‘Reed-Soloman Code’ implementation that allows for recovery of any ‘X’ volumes for ‘X’ parity volumes present. It is popularly used on USENET postings, but is not limited to this use.
The Debian parchive package supports “legacy” version 1.0 PAR files. The Debian par2 package supports version 2.0 PAR files.

There are three methods to install parchive on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install parchive Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install parchive using apt-get by running the following command:

After updating apt database, We can install parchive using aptitude by running the following command:

How To Uninstall parchive on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the parchive package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove parchive
Uninstall parchive And Its Dependencies
To uninstall parchive and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove parchive
Remove parchive Configurations and Data
To remove parchive configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge parchive
Remove parchive configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove parchive configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge parchive
