How To Install openrocket on Ubuntu 22.04

What is openrocket
openrocket is:
OpenRocket is a free, fully featured model rocket simulator that allows you to design and simulate your rockets before actually building and flying them.
OpenRocket features a full six-degree-of-freedom simulation, realistic wind modeling, a multitude of different components including free-form and canted fins, clustering and staging.
This package therefore downloads the pre-built OpenRocket .jar file from the upstream site and installs it.
There are three methods to install openrocket on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install openrocket Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install openrocket using apt-get by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude -y install openrocket
How To Uninstall openrocket on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the openrocket package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove openrocket
Uninstall openrocket And Its Dependencies
To uninstall openrocket and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove openrocket
Remove openrocket Configurations and Data
To remove openrocket configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge openrocket
Remove openrocket configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove openrocket configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge openrocket
