What is omegat

omegat is:

OmegaT’s main features are

OmegaT supports 24 formats, including documentation formats such as OpenDocument, Open XML (MS Office 2007), DocBook and (x)HTML, and also localization formats such as Java properties and PO files. An Okapi plugin can further extend the supported formats, for example to include TTX (TradosTag).

There are three methods to install omegat on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

How To Uninstall omegat on Ubuntu 22.04

To uninstall only the omegat package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove omegat

To uninstall omegat and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove omegat

Remove omegat Configurations and Data

To remove omegat configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge omegat
