How To Install nomarch on Ubuntu 22.04

What is nomarch
nomarch is:
This is a de-archiving only replacement for the arc archiver from SEA. It can handle pkarc archives, as well as others. It can also be used with emacs - see the nomarch manpage.
This package is very useful for E-Mail virus scanner scripts for attachment unpacking.
There are three methods to install nomarch
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude

Install nomarch Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install nomarch
using apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install nomarch

Install nomarch Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install nomarch

To uninstall only the nomarch

sudo apt-get -y autoremove nomarch
Remove nomarch Configurations and Data

sudo apt-get -y purge nomarch
