How To Install netris on Ubuntu 22.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install netris on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is netris
netris is:
Netris is a free, networked variant of Tetris.
One-player mode is a tad boring at the moment because it never gets any faster and there’s no scoring. This will be rectified at some point.
Two players can play against each other. If you fill two or three lines with one piece your opponent gets respectively one or two unfilled lines at the bottom of his screen. If you fill even four lines with one piece your opponent will get four unfilled lines.
This version at least partially supports robots. You can find the protocol description in the documentation and a sample robot in the examples.
There are three methods to install netris on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install netris Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install netris using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install netris
Install netris Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install netris using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install netris
Install netris Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install netris using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install netris
How To Uninstall netris on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the netris package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove netris
Uninstall netris And Its Dependencies
To uninstall netris and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove netris
Remove netris Configurations and Data
To remove netris configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge netris
Remove netris configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge netris
