How To Install nbtscan on Ubuntu 22.04

What is nbtscan
nbtscan is:
NBTscan is a program for scanning IP networks for NetBIOS name information. It sends NetBIOS status query to each address in supplied range and lists received information in human readable form. For each responded host it lists IP address, NetBIOS computer name, logged-in user name and MAC address (such as Ethernet).
This program is useful for security checks, network discovery and forensics investigations.
There are three methods to install nbtscan on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install nbtscan Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install nbtscan using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install nbtscan

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install nbtscan using apt by running the following command:

To uninstall nbtscan and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove nbtscan
Remove nbtscan Configurations and Data
To remove nbtscan configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge nbtscan
