How To Install multiboot on Ubuntu 22.04

on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is multiboot
multiboot is:
This specification, created in 1995, describes a method of loading various multiboot kernels using a single compliant boot loader (such as GNU GRUB) on i386-based computers.
It is used by a variety of kernel images, such as the Hurd, Xen, or NetBSD kernels.
An example implementation of a Multiboot kernel is provided.

There are three methods to install multiboot
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install multiboot Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install multiboot
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install multiboot

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install multiboot
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install multiboot
Install multiboot Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install multiboot
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install multiboot
How To Uninstall multiboot on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the multiboot
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove multiboot
Uninstall multiboot And Its Dependencies
To uninstall multiboot
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove multiboot
Remove multiboot Configurations and Data
To remove multiboot
configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge multiboot
Remove multiboot configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove multiboot
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge multiboot
