How To Install mpg123 on Ubuntu 22.04

mpg123 is a real time MPEG 1.0/2.0/2.5 audio player/decoder for layers 1, 2 and 3 (MPEG 1.0 layer 3 also known as MP3).

To uninstall only the mpg123 package we can use the following command:

To uninstall mpg123 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove mpg123
Remove mpg123 Configurations and Data
To remove mpg123 configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge mpg123
Remove mpg123 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
