LXTask is a GUI application for the Lightweight X11 Desktop Environment (LXDE).

LXTask - lightweight and desktop-independent task manager derived from xfce4-taskmanager with all dependencies on Xfce removed, new features, and some improvement of the user interface. LXTask is based on GTK+ toolkit. It allows monitoring and controlling of running processes.

There are three methods to install lxtask on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install lxtask Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install lxtask using apt-get by running the following command:
