How To Install lowdown on Ubuntu 22.04

on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is lowdown
lowdown is:
Lowdown is a Markdown translator producing HTML5, roff documents in the ms and man formats, LaTeX, gemini, and terminal output.
Beyond traditional Markdown syntax support, lowdown supports the following Markdown features and extensions:
- autolinking
- fenced code
- tables
- superscripts
- footnotes
- disabled inline HTML
- “smart typography”
- metadata
- commonmark (in progress)
- definition lists
- extended image attributes
There are three methods to install lowdown
on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install lowdown Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install lowdown
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install lowdown

After updating apt database, We can install lowdown

Install lowdown Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude

How To Uninstall lowdown on Ubuntu 22.04
