How To Install jmtpfs on Ubuntu 22.04

What is jmtpfs
jmtpfs is:
jmtpfs is a FUSE and libmtp-based filesystem for accessing MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) devices. It was specifically designed for exchanging files between Linux (and Mac OS X) systems and newer Android devices that support MTP but not USB Mass Storage.
The goal is to create a well-behaved filesystem, allowing tools like find and rsync to work as expected. To enable certain Android apps to detect and use the transferred files, MTP file types are set automatically based on file contents using libmagic.
There are three methods to install jmtpfs on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install jmtpfs Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install jmtpfs using apt-get by running the following command:

Install jmtpfs Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install jmtpfs using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install jmtpfs
How To Uninstall jmtpfs on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the jmtpfs package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove jmtpfs
Uninstall jmtpfs And Its Dependencies
To uninstall jmtpfs and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove jmtpfs
Remove jmtpfs Configurations and Data
To remove jmtpfs configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge jmtpfs
Remove jmtpfs configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove jmtpfs configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge jmtpfs
