How To Install highlight on Ubuntu 22.04

highlight is:
A utility that converts sourcecode to HTML, XHTML, RTF, LaTeX, TeX, SVG, XML or terminal escape sequences with syntax highlighting. It supports several programming and markup languages. Language descriptions are configurable and support regular expressions. The utility offers indentation and reformatting capabilities. It is easily possible to create new language definitions and colour themes.
There are three methods to install highlight on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

How To Uninstall highlight on Ubuntu 22.04

To uninstall highlight and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove highlight
Remove highlight Configurations and Data
To remove highlight configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge highlight
