How To Install fdclock on Ubuntu 22.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install fdclock on Ubuntu 22.04.
What is fdclock
fdclock is:
fdclock is a clock to show off many of Cairo’s features: it features scalable widgets (including a scalable freedesktop.org logo as the background), and transparency. When used with an X server that supports the Composite extension, you will be able to see proper transparency for the clock, and note how the hands/dots/etc cast darker individual shadows than the rest.
This package comes from the freedesktop.org git module: git://anongit.freedesktop.org/git/xorg/app/fdclock The module name is fdclock.
There are three methods to install fdclock on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install fdclock Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install fdclock using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install fdclock
Install fdclock Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install fdclock using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install fdclock
Install fdclock Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo apt-get -y autoremove fdclock
Remove fdclock Configurations and Data
To remove fdclock configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge fdclock
Remove fdclock configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove fdclock configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge fdclock
