How To Install ephoto on Ubuntu 22.04

What is ephoto
ephoto is:
Ephoto is an image viewer and editor written using the Enlightenment Foundation Libraries(EFL). It focuses on simplicity and ease of use, while taking advantage of the speed and small footprint provided by EFL.
Ephoto supports:
- Browsing the filesystem and displaying images in an easy to use grid view.
- Browsing images in a single image view format.
- Viewing images in a slideshow.
- Editing your images with features, such as cropping, auto enhance, blurring, sharpening, brightness/contrast/gamma adjustments, hue/saturation/value adjustments, and color level adjustment.
- Applying artistic filters to your images, such as black and white and old photo.
- Drag And Drop file operations to easily maintain your photo directories.
There are three methods to install ephoto on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ephoto Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ephoto using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ephoto
Install ephoto Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install ephoto using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ephoto
Install ephoto Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ephoto using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ephoto
How To Uninstall ephoto on Ubuntu 22.04
To uninstall only the ephoto package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ephoto
Uninstall ephoto And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ephoto and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ephoto
Remove ephoto Configurations and Data
To remove ephoto configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ephoto
Remove ephoto configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ephoto configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge ephoto
