What is egctl

egctl is:

program to control the state of EnerGenie Programmable surge protector with LAN interface. It uses native EG-PMS-LAN data exchange protocol version 2.0 or 2.1, not HTTP.

There are three methods to install egctl on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
