How To Install tf2-tools on Ubuntu 20.04

This package is part of Robot OS (ROS). tf2 is the second generation of the transform library, which lets the user keep track of multiple coordinate frames over time. tf2 maintains the relationship between coordinate frames in a tree structure buffered in time, and lets the user transform points, vectors, etc between any two coordinate frames at any desired point in time.
There are three methods to install tf2-tools on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install tf2-tools Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install tf2-tools using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install tf2-tools using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install tf2-tools
Install tf2-tools Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install tf2-tools using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install tf2-tools
How To Uninstall tf2-tools on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the tf2-tools package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove tf2-tools
Uninstall tf2-tools And Its Dependencies
To uninstall tf2-tools and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove tf2-tools
Remove tf2-tools Configurations and Data
To remove tf2-tools configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge tf2-tools
