How To Install rdp-classifier on Ubuntu 20.04

The RDP Classifier is a naive Bayesian classifier which was developed to provide rapid taxonomic placement based on rRNA sequence data. The RDP Classifier can rapidly and accurately classify bacterial and archaeal 16s rRNA sequences, and Fungal LSU sequences. It provides taxonomic assignments from domain to genus, with confidence estimates for each assignment. The RDP Classifier likely can be adapted to additional phylogenetically coherent bacterial taxonomies.
There are three methods to install rdp-classifier on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install rdp-classifier Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install rdp-classifier using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install rdp-classifier
Install rdp-classifier Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install rdp-classifier using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
