How To Install octave-signal on Ubuntu 20.04
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install octave-signal on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is octave-signal
octave-signal is:
This package provides signal processing tools including filtering, windowing and display functions in octave.
Blackman-Harris, Blackman-Nuttall and Bohman are among the windowing functions and filters include Chebyshev type filters and butterworth filters.
Additionally, some wavelet functions are included.
This Octave add-on package is part of the Octave-Forge project.
There are three methods to install octave-signal on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install octave-signal Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install octave-signal using apt-get by running the following command:
