nut-client is:

Network UPS Tools (NUT) is a client/server monitoring system that allows computers to share uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and power distribution unit (PDU) hardware. Clients access the hardware through the server, and are notified whenever the power status changes.

This package provides NUT’s clients that allows the user to control and monitor the UPS.

There are three methods to install nut-client on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install nut-client Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install nut-client using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install nut-client

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install nut-client using apt by running the following command:

Install nut-client Using aptitude
