How To Install nut-cgi on Ubuntu 20.04

What is nut-cgi
nut-cgi is:
Network UPS Tools (NUT) is a client/server monitoring system that allows computers to share uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and power distribution unit (PDU) hardware. Clients access the hardware through the server, and are notified whenever the power status changes.
This package provides an HTTP interface for Network UPS Tools which makes it possible to monitor the core NUT system with a web browser.
There are three methods to install nut-cgi
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install nut-cgi Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install nut-cgi
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install nut-cgi
Install nut-cgi Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install nut-cgi
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install nut-cgi
Install nut-cgi Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install nut-cgi
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install nut-cgi
How To Uninstall nut-cgi on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the nut-cgi
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove nut-cgi
Uninstall nut-cgi And Its Dependencies
To uninstall nut-cgi
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove nut-cgi
Remove nut-cgi Configurations and Data
To remove nut-cgi
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge nut-cgi
Remove nut-cgi configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove nut-cgi
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge nut-cgi
