How To Install network-manager-openconnect on Ubuntu 20.04

network-manager-openconnect is:
NetworkManager is a system network service that manages your network devices and connections, attempting to keep active network connectivity when available. It manages ethernet, Wi-Fi, mobile broadband (WWAN), and PPPoE devices, and provides VPN integration with a variety of different VPN services.
This package provides a VPN plugin for OpenConnect, an open client for Cisco’s AnyConnect SSL VPN, Juniper’s Pulse Connect Secure and Palo Alto’s GlobalProtect.
There are three methods to install network-manager-openconnect on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install network-manager-openconnect Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install network-manager-openconnect using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install network-manager-openconnect
Install network-manager-openconnect Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install network-manager-openconnect using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install network-manager-openconnect
Install network-manager-openconnect Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install network-manager-openconnect using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install network-manager-openconnect
How To Uninstall network-manager-openconnect on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the network-manager-openconnect package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove network-manager-openconnect

To uninstall network-manager-openconnect and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove network-manager-openconnect
Remove network-manager-openconnect Configurations and Data
To remove network-manager-openconnect configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge network-manager-openconnect
Remove network-manager-openconnect configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove network-manager-openconnect configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge network-manager-openconnect
