How To Install libiberty-dev on Ubuntu 20.04

on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is libiberty-dev
libiberty-dev is:
The libib library is a collection of subroutines used by various GNU programs, which are missing or broken on some systems.
This library shouldn’t be used by other software, but unfortunately already is. There is no guaranty for a stable library API, and no shared library is provided.
There are three methods to install libiberty-dev
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Install libiberty-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libiberty-dev
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libiberty-dev

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libiberty-dev
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libiberty-dev
Install libiberty-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libiberty-dev
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libiberty-dev
How To Uninstall libiberty-dev on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libiberty-dev
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libiberty-dev
Uninstall libiberty-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libiberty-dev
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libiberty-dev
Remove libiberty-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libiberty-dev
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libiberty-dev
Remove libiberty-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libiberty-dev
