What is gutenprint-locales
gutenprint-locales is:
This package contains the i18n files of Gutenprint, used by libgutenprint9, printer-driver-gutenprint and escputil. It is also used by the Print plugin for the GIMP, gimp-gutenprint.
They are needed when you want the programs in Gutenprint to print their messages in other languages than US English.
Gutenprint is the print facility for the GIMP, and in addition a suite of drivers that may be used with common UNIX spooling systems using GhostScript or CUPS. These drivers provide printing quality for UNIX/Linux on a par with proprietary vendor-supplied drivers in many cases, and can be used for many of the most demanding printing tasks. Gutenprint was formerly known as Gimp-Print.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install gutenprint-locales using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install gutenprint-locales
How To Uninstall gutenprint-locales on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the gutenprint-locales package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove gutenprint-locales
Uninstall gutenprint-locales And Its Dependencies
To uninstall gutenprint-locales and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove gutenprint-locales
Remove gutenprint-locales Configurations and Data
To remove gutenprint-locales configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gutenprint-locales
Remove gutenprint-locales configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove gutenprint-locales configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge gutenprint-locales
