How To Install fonts-lobster on Ubuntu 20.04

The beauty of real hand-drawn lettering is that the lettering artists subtly modify the shape of letters so they connect with the next ones. These linked letters-pairs are called “ligatures”. Thus, in order to provide a smooth hand-written look, the Lobster font provides a large number of ligatures, as well as terminal forms (i.e. glyphs that are used for word endings).
There are three methods to install fonts-lobster on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install fonts-lobster Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install fonts-lobster using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install fonts-lobster
Install fonts-lobster Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install fonts-lobster using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install fonts-lobster
Install fonts-lobster Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install fonts-lobster using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install fonts-lobster
How To Uninstall fonts-lobster on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the fonts-lobster package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove fonts-lobster
Uninstall fonts-lobster And Its Dependencies
To uninstall fonts-lobster and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove fonts-lobster
Remove fonts-lobster Configurations and Data
To remove fonts-lobster configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge fonts-lobster
Remove fonts-lobster configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove fonts-lobster configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge fonts-lobster
