How To Install findent on Ubuntu 20.04
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install findent
on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is findent
findent is:
Indents Fortran sources: free or fixed format. Optionally converts from fixed format to free format. Optionally generates dpendencies for Make, based on definition and usage of modules. Supports Fortran2008. Indentation is controlled by a number of flags. Easy integration with (g)vim, gedit, emacs.
wfindent is a wrapper for findent and facilitates in-place indenting of Fortran sources.
There are three methods to install findent
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Update apt database with apt-get
