What is epoptes

epoptes is:

Epoptes is an open source computer lab management and monitoring tool. It allows for screen broadcasting and monitoring, remote command execution, message sending, imposing restrictions like screen locking or sound muting the clients and much more!

Contains the server daemon and a GUI for controlling client PCs.

It supports LTSP installations, but it also works without LTSP.

There are three methods to install epoptes on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install epoptes Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install epoptes using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install epoptes

Install epoptes Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install epoptes using apt by running the following command:
