Enchant is a generic spell checking library which uses existing spell checker engines such as ispell, aspell and myspell as its backends.

Enchant steps in to provide uniformity and conformity on top of these libraries, and implement certain features that may be lacking in any individual provider library.

Install enchant Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install enchant using apt-get by running the following command:

After updating apt database, We can install enchant using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove enchant

Remove enchant Configurations and Data

To remove enchant configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge enchant

Remove enchant configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
