What is deluge-web

deluge-web is:

Deluge is a full-featured, multi-platform, multi-interface BitTorrent client using libtorrent-rasterbar in it’s backend and featuring multiple user-interfaces: GTK+, web and console.

It has been designed using the client-server model with a daemon process that handles all the bittorrent activity. The Deluge daemon is able to run on headless machines with the user-interfaces being able to connect remotely from any platform.

There are three methods to install deluge-web on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install deluge-web Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install deluge-web using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install deluge-web

Install deluge-web Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install deluge-web using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install deluge-web

Install deluge-web Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install deluge-web using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install deluge-web

How To Uninstall deluge-web on Ubuntu 20.04

To uninstall only the deluge-web package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove deluge-web

Uninstall deluge-web And Its Dependencies

To uninstall deluge-web and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove deluge-web

Remove deluge-web Configurations and Data

To remove deluge-web configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge deluge-web

Remove deluge-web configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove deluge-web configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge deluge-web
