What is chasquid

chasquid is:

chasquid is an SMTP (email) server with a focus on simplicity, security, and ease of operation.

It’s written in Go, and is open source under the Apache license 2.0.

It is currently in beta: it’s functional and has had some production exposure, but some things may still change in backwards-incompatible ways, including the configuration format. It should be rare and will be avoided if possible.

There are three methods to install chasquid on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install chasquid Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install chasquid using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install chasquid

Install chasquid Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install chasquid using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install chasquid

Install chasquid Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

How To Uninstall chasquid on Ubuntu 20.04

sudo apt-get -y autoremove chasquid

Remove chasquid Configurations and Data

To remove chasquid configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge chasquid
