How To Install espeak-ng-espeak on Ubuntu 18.04

What is espeak-ng-espeak
espeak-ng-espeak is:
eSpeak NG is a software speech synthesizer for English, and some other languages.
This package contains compatibility links that makes it a drop-in replacement for the espeak package. Installing this package thus allows one to make applications calling the /usr/bin/espeak program use eSpeak NG without any modification or rebuild.
There are three methods to install espeak-ng-espeak on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install espeak-ng-espeak Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install espeak-ng-espeak using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install espeak-ng-espeak

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install espeak-ng-espeak using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install espeak-ng-espeak
Install espeak-ng-espeak Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install espeak-ng-espeak using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install espeak-ng-espeak
How To Uninstall espeak-ng-espeak on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the espeak-ng-espeak package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove espeak-ng-espeak
Uninstall espeak-ng-espeak And Its Dependencies
To uninstall espeak-ng-espeak and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove espeak-ng-espeak
Remove espeak-ng-espeak Configurations and Data
To remove espeak-ng-espeak configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge espeak-ng-espeak
Remove espeak-ng-espeak configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove espeak-ng-espeak configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge espeak-ng-espeak
