How To Install elpa-circe on Ubuntu 18.04

Circe is a Client for IRC in Emacs. It integrates well with the rest of the editor, using standard Emacs key bindings and indicating activity in channels in the status bar so it stays out of your way unless you want to use it. Complexity-wise, it is somewhere between rcirc (very minimal) and ERC (very complex).
There are three methods to install elpa-circe on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install elpa-circe Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install elpa-circe using apt-get by running the following command:

After updating apt database, We can install elpa-circe using apt by running the following command:

Install elpa-circe Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install elpa-circe using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the elpa-circe package we can use the following command:

To uninstall elpa-circe and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove elpa-circe
Remove elpa-circe Configurations and Data
To remove elpa-circe configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge elpa-circe

We can use the following command to remove elpa-circe configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge elpa-circe
