How To Install dolphin-owncloud on Ubuntu 18.04

What is dolphin-owncloud
dolphin-owncloud is:
The ownCloudSync system lets you always have your latest files wherever you are. Just specify one or more folders on the local machine to and a server to synchronize to. You can configure more computers to synchronize to the same server and any change to the files on one computer will silently and reliably flow across to every other.
Dolphin ownCloud is an extension that integrates the ownCloud web service with your Plasma Desktop (KDE).
There are three methods to install dolphin-owncloud
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install dolphin-owncloud Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install dolphin-owncloud
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install dolphin-owncloud
Install dolphin-owncloud Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install dolphin-owncloud
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install dolphin-owncloud
Install dolphin-owncloud Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install dolphin-owncloud
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install dolphin-owncloud
How To Uninstall dolphin-owncloud on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the dolphin-owncloud
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove dolphin-owncloud
Uninstall dolphin-owncloud And Its Dependencies
To uninstall dolphin-owncloud
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove dolphin-owncloud
Remove dolphin-owncloud Configurations and Data
To remove dolphin-owncloud
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge dolphin-owncloud
Remove dolphin-owncloud configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove dolphin-owncloud
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge dolphin-owncloud
