How To Install dico-dev on Ubuntu 18.04

What is dico-dev
dico-dev is:
GNU Dico is an implementation of the DICT protocol as defined in RFC 2229. It is fully modular: the daemon itself (dicod) provides only the server functionality, and knows nothing about database formats. Actual searches are performed by functions supplied in loadable modules. A single module can serve one or more databases.
This package contains the header files, static libraries, and symbolic links needed for development.
There are three methods to install dico-dev on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install dico-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install dico-dev using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install dico-dev

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install dico-dev using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install dico-dev
Install dico-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install dico-dev using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install dico-dev
