How To Install cantor-backend-maxima on Ubuntu 18.04

cantor-backend-maxima is:
Cantor is an application to allow you to you use your favorite mathematical applications from within an elegant worksheet interface. It provides dialogs to assist with common tasks and allows you to share your worksheets with others.
This package provides the backend for using the Maxima Computer Algebra System (http://maxima.sourceforge.net) in Cantor.
NOTE: currently this package only contains the maxima icon as the backend itself is broken with the current version of maxima. The backend will be restored once an upstream fix is available. See KDE BUG: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=379404
This package is part of the KDE education module.
There are three methods to install cantor-backend-maxima on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

How To Uninstall cantor-backend-maxima on Ubuntu 18.04

To remove cantor-backend-maxima configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge cantor-backend-maxima
Remove cantor-backend-maxima configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove cantor-backend-maxima configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge cantor-backend-maxima
