How To Install banshee-dbg on Ubuntu 18.04

banshee-dbg is:
Banshee is a media management and playback application for the GNOME desktop, allowing users to import audio from CDs, search their library, create playlists of selections of their library, sync music to/from iPods and other media devices, play and manage video files and burn selections to a CD.
This package contains the debugging symbols for Banshee.
There are three methods to install banshee-dbg on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install banshee-dbg Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install banshee-dbg using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install banshee-dbg
Install banshee-dbg Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install banshee-dbg using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install banshee-dbg
Install banshee-dbg Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install banshee-dbg using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install banshee-dbg
How To Uninstall banshee-dbg on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the banshee-dbg package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove banshee-dbg
Uninstall banshee-dbg And Its Dependencies
To uninstall banshee-dbg and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove banshee-dbg
Remove banshee-dbg Configurations and Data
To remove banshee-dbg configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge banshee-dbg
Remove banshee-dbg configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove banshee-dbg configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge banshee-dbg
