How To Install lhasa on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install lhasa on Kali Linux.
What is lhasa
lhasa is:
Lhasa lha is a tool for parsing LHA (.lzh) archives and a free replacement for the Unix LHA tool.
Currently it is only possible to read from (ie. decompress) archives; generating (compressing) LHA archives may be an enhancement for future versions. The aim is to be compatible with as many different variants of the LHA file format as possible, including LArc (.lzs) and PMarc (.pma).
The command line tool aims to be interface-compatible with the non-free Unix LHA tool (command line syntax and output), for backwards compatibility with tools that expect particular output.
There are three methods to install lhasa on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install lhasa Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install lhasa using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install lhasaInstall lhasa Using apt

sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install lhasa using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install lhasa using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install lhasaHow To Uninstall lhasa on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the lhasa package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove lhasaUninstall lhasa And Its Dependencies
To uninstall lhasa and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove lhasaRemove lhasa Configurations and Data
To remove lhasa configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge lhasaRemove lhasa configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove lhasa configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge lhasaDependencies
