What is lemon

lemon is:

Lemon is an LALR(1) parser generator for C or C++. It does the same job as bison and yacc. But lemon is not another bison or yacc clone. It uses a different grammar syntax which is designed to reduce the number of coding errors. Lemon also uses a more sophisticated parsing engine that is faster than yacc and bison and which is both reentrant and thread-safe. Furthermore, Lemon implements features that can be used to eliminate resource leaks, making is suitable for use in long-running programs such as graphical user interfaces or embedded controllers.

There are three methods to install lemon on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install lemon Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install lemon using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install lemon

Install lemon Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install lemon using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install lemon

Install lemon Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install lemon using aptitude by running the following command:

How To Uninstall lemon on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the lemon package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove lemon

Uninstall lemon And Its Dependencies

To uninstall lemon and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove lemon

Remove lemon Configurations and Data

To remove lemon configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge lemon
