What is knot

knot is:

Knot DNS is a fast, authoritative only, high performance, feature full and open source name server.

Knot DNS is developed by CZ.NIC Labs, the R&D department of .CZ registry and hence is well suited to run anything from the root zone, the top-level domain, to many smaller standard domain names.

There are three methods to install knot on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install knot Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install knot using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install knot

Install knot Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install knot using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install knot

Install knot Using aptitude
