What is jaxb

jaxb is:

GlassFish Java Architecture for XML Binding (JAXB) Reference Implementation.

Java Architecture for XML Binding (JAXB) provides a fast and convenient way to bind XML schemas and Java representations, making it easy for Java developers to incorporate XML data and processing functions in Java applications. As part of this process, JAXB provides methods for unmarshalling (reading) XML instance documents into Java content trees, and then marshalling (writing) Java content trees back into XML instance documents. JAXB also provides a way to generate XML schema from Java objects.

This package contains the xjc and schemagen command line tools.

There are three methods to install jaxb on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install jaxb Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install jaxb using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install jaxb

Install jaxb Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install jaxb using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install jaxb

Install jaxb Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install jaxb using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install jaxb

How To Uninstall jaxb on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the jaxb package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove jaxb

Uninstall jaxb And Its Dependencies

To uninstall jaxb and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove jaxb

Remove jaxb Configurations and Data

To remove jaxb configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge jaxb

Remove jaxb configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove jaxb configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge jaxb
